Picking out seeds...

Have you ever gone through one of those garden seed catalogs? We discovered a problem with them. By the time you get to the end you have 137 different types of seeds selected and they are all “ooooh we HAVE to have these” seeds. Now the fun starts. Where do you plant 137 different types of vegetables?

Okay okay, maybe it isn’t 137; but I still think I am going to have to turn the majority of my backyard into a garden or make some significant cuts in the seeds list:

Tom the Cat

Today we said goodbye to Tom. “Tom the Cat” to be exact. Tom was the prototypical feline hunting machine, felling mouse, rat, bird, squirrel, mole, frog, bug and rabbit as they crossed his path. Rarely have I known a cat so generous with his gifts of live and dead yard “findings”.
